If you are coming from Jaipur, best way is to take Road. Khatu Shyam Ji temple is about 90 KM from Jaipur. Via Road Best route is via Sawai Jai Singh Hwy to Jaipur Roadd/Sikar Road to Agra - Bikaner Road(also known as NH11), which will take you to MDR46, Khatu. Here is the google map from Jaipur to Khatu shyam mandir. There are various Government as well as private buses available from Jaipur Bus Stand to Khatu bus stand. However no buses with reserved seats are available. From khatu bus stand you can take auto to Mandir. Via Train Nearest railway station from Khatu Shyam temple is Ringas Junction. Only passenger trains ply from Jaipur to Ringas railway station. There are about 8 trains from Jaipur, having scheduled departure from jaipur railyway station at 4.40 AM, 6.05 AM, 7.45 AM, 10.10 AM, 13.30, 16.55, 18.50 & 20.15. Train journey takes about an hour and a half and the trains are mostly on time.

Nearest Railway Station to Khatu Shyam Ji is Ringas Junction (Sometimes also written as Reengus). For those travelling via Train, IRCTC code for Ringas Junction is 'RGS'. Khatu Shyam Ji mandir is approx. 18.5 KM away from Ringas Junction. If you are travelling via Train, as soon as you as reach exit station, you will see large number of Taxis, Vans/Jeeps and Buses waiting just outside the station for passengers. Shared Taxis/Jeeps usually charge Rs 30 to 40 per person from Ringas to Khatu Shyam ji. The moment you step out of the railway station, you will hear them shouting Khatushyam mandir... Other than the initial flyover construction part, Road to Khatu shyam mandir from Ringas is very good and its an enjoyable ride with very little traffic. These pictures were taken in summer of 2015. Usually you will find a little more water in the kund during winters. Legend has it, its the holy pond from where Sheesh (head) of Barbarik was found. Shyam Kund is walking distance from Khatushayam ji's Mandir. To reach here, best ask the local shops for directions, otherwise you may miss the huge gate just in between shops.

Tran no: 12066 - Ajmer Jan Shatabdi runs only on Friday's and Sundays from Hazrat Nizamuddin at 3.10 PM, however if you are in delhi its recomended you board this train from Delhi Cantt. Third train is chandigarh - Bandra Terminus SF Express which runs on Wednesdays and Sundays. Via Road If you are coming from Delhi, best route is via NH8, you can refer to the map below for directions. It will take you about 4.5 to 5 hours to reach Kahtushyam Mandir from New Delhi. Incase you are coming via Jaipur or going back via Jaipur, It would be a good idea to seek blessings of Ganesh Ji at Moti Dungri Temple, situated next to Birla Mandir. You may have a pleasant experience if you visit both places during the same trip.
Also once you are at Khatu shyam, do not forget to feed the Nandi's, you will find a lot of them around Khatu ji's temple 🙂
